Help through Heidi Goetzl Wildlife Foundation
Currently we support 2 projects in Zimbabwe.
The Friends of Hwange (https://friendsofhwange.com) asked us to finance a borehole for a dried up well at the edge of the Hwange National Park. The operation of the pump is guaranteed by a solar power system.
The necessary 4,500 € was generously donated by the Heidi Goetzl Wildlife Foundation (https://heidi-goetzl-wildtierstiftung.de/).
In addition, we are currently supporting the well-known wildlife veterinarian Dr. Richard Hoare. In cooperation with, among others, the anti-poaching unit of the Bumi Hills Foundation (https://www.bumihillsfoundation.org), which we support anyway, he trains wildlife veterinarians and carefully selected non-veterinarians in the use of anesthetics for wildlife. These specialists are distributed throughout the country to treat injured wildlife (mostly from snare injuries or gunshot wounds caused by poachers) as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, there was not enough money to purchase these anesthetics.
Generously and quickly the Heidi Goetzl Wildlife Foundation donated 5000 €. We thank them very much and look forward to further cooperation.
